@lookingforastar -  September for us. I've been dying to know if he was gonna go, because there was a chance he wouldn't have to go on this cycle, but unfortunately he does. It seems too soon to start thinking about him leaving again. I know it's been a year since he got back from the last one, but dammit that's not enough time! ARG.

it sure does suck preparing for deployment! my husband is leaving on his next one soon (his 4th one) - but at least i know that after this depolyment he'll be on shore duty for a couple years, so his chance of going on deployment is much lower!

Will you stay put while he is deployed, or will you head back to TX?

@Krissy_Cole -  I'll stay put, since I'm only 3.5 hours from home. I'm transferring in the fall to a four-year university, so classes will have only been in session for like 3 weeks when he leaves.

I knew the news was going to be coming any day, I was just really not expecting it yesterday. Then when he did tell me, I didn't expect to CRY. I'm fragile, but not THAT fragile, you know?! I figured, eh, we've already been through one, this one should be a cakewalk! Apparently not.

Well, hopefully all the transitions will be smooth.
